Background

I suffered with skin problems for many years, including acne, from the age of 13. I tried a variety of creams, lotions and medication. However, my skin continued to flare up. I have suffered with stress, which led to anxiety (panic attacks), feeling self concious and other issues.

I discovered and gained interest in complementary therapy, including reflexology. I found the touch on my foot made me relaxed. When my skin improved, I realised that a lot of my problems were due to stress, the more I worried the worse it got.

I had acupuncture and chinese herbs which helped my skin too, however I didn't find it very relaxing!

I decided to sign up for a course in complementary therapy. I majored in reflexology and body massage, along with my University certificate in Complementary Therapy. I found the course so interesting and it was great to have treatments whilst practicing on each other!

I have been working hard to achieve my certificate and have been practicing on friends and family as a reflexologist and a masseuse. The last year, along with working full-time in a special school, I have decided to take up complementary therapy full time. 2 months ago, I started as a consultant for a spa company, called Moor @ Home. Their products are just coming into the department stores all over the country and are great for skin problems, such as acne, eczema and dermatitis, and also for joint problems.
